About Our Puppies:
Our puppies are ready to leave their mother and go to their forever homes at 8 weeks old.
At three days old, the puppies will make their first vet visit to have their dew claws removed. By three weeks, they will be completely dewormed. Between six and eight weeks, they will take their second trip to the vet. At this vet visit, they will receive the DA2P-CPV (also referred to as DHPP) vaccination. This vaccination protects against the following:
Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo virus, Parainfluenza
For a full list of future vaccinations that will be needed, please click here.
Reserving a Puppy:
To help us in matching you with the perfect puppy, we'd like to know more about you and your family. Please take the time to fill out our
Forever Family Form. Please keep in mind this is not an application, but a way for us to ensure that we are not only matching you with the perfect puppy, but the puppy with the perfect family.
We accept deposits of $ 200 to reserve a puppy for you until it is able to leave for your home. Please note that deposits are non-refundable, unless our vet finds that the puppy has a life threatening defect when they receive their check up and vaccinations.
To make a deposit, we accept cash or Paypal. Once we receive your deposit, we will provide you with a Puppy Deposit Receipt, either via an Adobe PDF file through email or in person. We will also mark your puppy as * Reserved * on our site and in our online ads. Please note that for Paypal deposits and payments, we do add Paypal's 3% fee to the amount you will need to send us.
Choosing a Puppy:
Choosing the right puppy for you and your family is a delicate process. There are many factors you will need to consider when purchasing a puppy. Every puppy has a unique personality, and we will help you in picking the best puppy for you. Our litters start showing their individual personalities between 3-4 weeks of age. If you are considering purchasing a puppy from us, we encourage you to schedule a visit to our home to interact with the puppies. If you are unable to visit, we will assist you along the way with updates, pictures and short video clips of the puppies.
Finalizing Your Puppy Purchase:
When your puppy is ready to leave our home, we request that you provide us with the remaining balance due. If you are picking up your puppy in person, this can be done when you pick him or her up. If we are shipping your puppy to you, the remaining balance, as well as shipping charges, must be paid before we can ship your puppy.
Whether you are picking up your puppy, or having it shipped, you are always able to take care of your remaining balance at any point after placing your deposit. Some people prefer to have it out of the way ahead of time, so when they come to pick up their new puppy, the puppy is their only focus.
Shipping Your Puppy:
While we prefer for you to come pick up your puppy in person, sometimes that just isn't an option. We do offer shipping. We ship through either Delta or Continental, depending on which can give us the shorter flight at the better rate. When shipping with Delta, We use DASH, to get the shortest layover times.
Another shipment method is PetAirways. PetAirways is a unique air shipping service. They have their own airplane, consisting only of crates for pets. So the pet rides in the passenger area of the plane, rather than in cargo like other airlines. Also, during the flight, a veterinarian and attendant constantly monitor the pets. PetAirways does have a limited coverage as far as cities.
Shipping can cost an additional $250-$350, depending on flight availabilty and airline used. That price would include the flight itself, the crate the puppy is shipped in, and the pad for inside the crate. When we ship a puppy, your puppy is shipped as cargo. We make sure your puppy has had food and water within two hours of flight time. Most times, your puppy will sleep through the shipping process. When your puppy arrives, he or she may be a bit timid and hesitant to come out of its crate. This is normal, and your puppy should adjust fairly quickly.
Another option (which is especially good for those with frequent flyer miles) is for you to fly out here to pick up your puppy. On your return flight, you can take your puppy on the plane with you as carry-on baggage. If this is an option you're considering, we can help you find a nearby hotel to stay in.
